Where does fuel price data come from?

The source of the data is the European Commission's EU Weekly Oil Bulletin, which contains weekly summaries of average retail fuel prices in European Union countries.

The data is collected by national institutions and submitted to the European Commission. The fuel-prices.eu website then processes it and presents it in the form of rankings and charts.

Prices quoted are national averages and include taxes, including VAT and excise duty. They do not represent the price at every gas station. Actual refueling costs may vary depending on region, city, or gas station location.

The charts are updated as new data is released. The date of the last chart can be found directly on the charts.

Useful guides for car travelers
